Why No Cigarrette Expiration Dates?

Now don't get me wrong? I'm a smoker. Have been for more years than I care to remember. I was recently drinking bottled water. And saw it had an expiration date. I had no idea water had an expiration date. Bread, Milk, Cereal, almost everything we consume has an expiration date stamped on it somewhere. Everything except...Cigarrettes, and Alcohol!
Now with all the "Secret Ingredients" these tobacco companies are infusing their tabacco with. It would only seem to me that these "Secret Ingredients" should also have some type of expiration date? Now why don't they include an expiration date? Crazy as it seems, maybe it's the big money these tobacco companies are putting in some lawmakers pockets. I've bought cigarrettes that were very dry. More than likely have passed their shelf life. Almost choked to death.
